RFS Troubleshooting

I can't download RFS

To get RFS, first get a license if you don't have one yet. Then, download RFS here. If this doesn't work, please contact the community for help.

I can't run RFS

RFS/"Retro FPS Studio" should run on almost any laptop or desktop, especially with RFS's legacy version. It runs on some single board computers, too.

System Requirements

I think I meet the requirements, it won't run

If RFS won't launch or activate, please check these:

If it still won't work, please contact the community for help.

Why isn't macOS supported?

On macOS, RFS can't currently be run without an emulation or translation layer like CrossOver, a Virtual Machine, or wine.

RFS is written in a cross-platform manner that in theory allows macOS or iOS releases. However, Apple's policies make such releases impractical. Therefore, no macOS releases are currently available.

I'm on Windows XP or Vista, and the RFS website doesn't work

On Windows XP or Vista, you will need to manually install some web browser that supports the internet protocol TLS 1.2 to visit the RFS website (and many others). Sadly, both XP and Vista were never updated to support TLS 1.2 despite that being a widely spread requirement now.
